All auctions / Miscellaneous / Serving trolley - Big Wheels - Wood, Brass - Maison Jansen style
This Maison Jansen-style service cart preserves that elegant and slightly theatrical air that characterized mid-20th-century decorative furnishings. The metal frame, with its warm gold finish, draws clean lines and balanced proportions, while the large wheels, with slender spokes, add an almost equestrian touch, as if the piece were designed to glide with a certain solemnity through a sunlit living room. The smaller, swiveling front wheels complete the ensemble with discreet functionality that does not detract an iota from its presence. The two wooden shelves, with their reddish, deep varnish, add contrast and sophistication. The gilded edge along the perimeter, crafted with a delicate profile, frames each surface as if they were independent trays, meant to display glassware, bottles, or small decorative objects. The rear handle, naturally integrated into the structure, invites moving it smoothly, recalling its origin as a service piece but without renouncing its decorative vocation. It is a piece that combines utility and glamour with a very Maison Jansen-like ease: refined without being ostentatious, practical without losing charm, capable of fitting into both a classical and a contemporary interior. Its presence conveys that blend of Parisian sophistication and modern functionality that makes these pieces timeless icons of 20th-century design. Certified shipping and good packing.
