All auctions / Arts & Graphics / Shell-Penn Motor Oil Sign

Made in U.S.A. 1929 - 1934. Single-sided painted metal (SSPM). Shell introduced the "Shell-Penn" name to its motor oil brand in 1929. While some will connect this name with the merger between Shell and Pennzoil, this marketing campaign predates the merger by many decades. The motivation behind the name was to communicate to the consumer that it was using highly sought after Pennsylvania oil. Unmarked. Authenticated by The Authentication Company (TAC #021169). All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for free delivery to the Winter 2026 Dixie Gas Show on December 4th. From the Barry Yorgason Collection.
