A premium A1-format (landscape) technical poster dedicated to the Porsche 911 GT2 (993) from 1995 — a rare homologation special that combined the power of the 911 Turbo with rear-wheel drive, lightweight construction, and uncompromising motorsport engineering. This artwork presents a highly detailed multi-view technical illustration, including front, rear, side, and top perspectives, complemented by precise dimensions and key specifications. A harmonious blend of German engineering, racing heritage, and technical precision, captured in a clean, blueprint-inspired layout. Highlights A Motorsport Homologation Special Introduced in 1995, the Porsche 911 GT2 was developed to homologate the 993-generation 911 for GT2-class competition. Based on the 911 Turbo but extensively modified for racing, it became one of the most extreme and desirable air-cooled Porsche road cars ever produced. Twin-Turbocharged Flat-Six At its heart is a 3.6-litre air-cooled, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine producing approximately 430 PS in its original road-going specification. The engine delivers formidable acceleration, immediate character, and the distinctive mechanical sound associated with Porsche’s final generation of air-cooled 911 models. Rear-Wheel-Drive Purity Unlike the all-wheel-drive 993 Turbo, the GT2 sends its power exclusively to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. Removing the front-drive system reduced weight and created a more direct, demanding, and competition-focused driving experience. Lightweight Construction Weight reduction played a central role in the GT2’s development. Simplified equipment, reduced sound insulation, lightweight interior components, and the removal of the all-wheel-drive hardware helped transform the refined 911 Turbo into a focused homologation machine. Competition-Focused Chassis Revised suspension, upgraded brakes, wider wheels, and motorsport-developed components gave the GT2 exceptional grip, response, and durability. Its chassis was engineered to manage immense turbocharged performance while maintaining the precision expected from a Porsche racing derivative. Distinctive Widened Bodywork Bolt-on wheel-arch extensions accommodate the GT2’s wider wheels and tyres, while the large fixed rear wing incorporates prominent air intakes for the engine. A deeper front spoiler and purposeful aerodynamic details give the car an unmistakable appearance. Air-Cooled Performance The 993 GT2 represents one of the most extreme applications of Porsche’s classic air-cooled flat-six architecture. Its combination of twin turbochargers, rear-wheel drive, manual transmission, and minimal electronic intervention makes it one of the most intense road-going 911 models of its era. Collector Appeal Produced in extremely limited numbers, the road-going 993 GT2 is among the rarest and most valuable Porsche 911 variants. Its homologation purpose, competition heritage, air-cooled engine, and uncompromising character have secured its status as a true collector’s icon. Technical Precision Accurate dimensional layouts inspired by classic engineering schematics highlight the vehicle’s widened stance, aerodynamic components, compact proportions, and unmistakable high-performance character. Condition New — professionally printed on premium-quality paper.
