Siciliano Fraraccio “Siciliano” Coltello Tradizionale...

Fraraccio “Siciliano” Italian Traditional Knife from the 2000s, 17 cm, 420 Inox Category Catawiki Collectible knives → Italian traditional knives Description Beautiful original Fraraccio “Siciliano,” made in the early 2000s and inspired by the classic island cutiddi of Italian popular tradition. An elegant and authentic knife, with a slim, tapered profile, a typical everyday companion for peasants, shepherds, and men of Southern Italy, where the “cutillo siciliano” was an indispensable item in everyday pockets. This specimen preserves all the simplicity and charm of Italian traditional cutlery: satin-finished 420 stainless steel blade with manual opening and a handle in “poor” horn-imitating material, a practical and typical solution for knives used by the people. Produced by Fraraccio, a historic Italian manufacturer specialized in regional cutlery, today highly sought after by enthusiasts and collectors of traditional blades. A first-half-2000s example, never used and perfectly preserved, with smooth mechanics and blade in excellent condition. An fascinating piece for collectors of Italian regional knives and for lovers of the artisanal tradition of Southern Italy.
