Superb and authentic African monoxyl stool that also serves as a guéridon or side table, entirely handsomely carved from a single block of dense exotic hardwood with a dark hue. The stylized tripod base features three powerful elephant heads, animals that symbolize strength, prestige, and sovereignty in Akan culture. The rhythmic geometric details along the trunks give the piece a remarkable sculptural and architectural presence. The circular top is finely carved with a geometric star motif. Two clearly inlaid tusks provide a tasteful contrast to the dark, textured patina of the wood. A highly decorative piece, ideal for integrating into a contemporary interior or a cabinet of curiosities. Dimensions: 50 x 26 x 26 cm Condition: Good overall wear with authentic patina. Some light surface marks and natural wood cracks/fissures that enhance its charm and authenticity, visible in the photographs.
