Side table - kidney - Wood - Luxury Marquetry

Elegant kidney-shaped table inspired by Louis XVI, made in walnut wood during the 19th century, distinguished by the refined quality of its materials and by the rich marquetry decoration that adorns each of its surfaces. Its harmonious curvilinear silhouette, characteristic of this esteemed French model, provides visual lightness and a marked sense of sophistication, making it a piece with great decorative presence. The top features a delicate marquetry composition with vegetal and ornamental motifs of exquisite execution, framed by a fine perimeter border that enhances the elegance of the ensemble. The same decorative richness extends to the front, where two stacked drawers display fine inlays of scrollwork and vegetal elements, accompanied by bronze handles that provide an attractive contrast with the warm golden tone of walnut. The structure rests on four tall, slender legs, with a tapered section and elegant bearing, typical of the neoclassical Louis XVI repertoire. The front uprights are also enriched with marquetry appliques, demonstrating careful attention to detail and a quality of execution reserved for high-end furniture. The noble walnut wood displays a beautiful grain and an appealing patina developed with the passage of time, with the piece in very good overall condition. Its combination of functionality, artisanal refinement, and formal balance makes it an excellent example of nineteenth-century luxury furniture, ideal as an auxiliary table, a living room table, or an accent piece in classical, eclectic, or French-inspired environments.
