[Signed] THE WORLD'S FIRST LOVE Rev

285p. INSCRIBED BY BLESSED ARCHBISHOP SHEEN. A hardcover book that has been REBOUND in navy blue leather with new endpapers. The top margins of most pages are faintly dampstained and mildly wrinkled. The edges of the original front endpaper, which contains Sheen's inscription, has dampstained edges. Only a bit of the dampness has touched the inscription (the "T" in "To"). Otherwise, text is unmarked and binding is tight. One of Archbishop Sheen's beloved titles in a simple, handsome binding with a unique provenance! Archbishop Sheen was recently beatified and now bears the title of Blessed. This copy of THE WORLD'S FIRST LOVE, Sheen's treatise on the spiritual significance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is signed by Sheen on the first original blank endpaper with a personal inscription to a fellow priest --- Rev. Alfons R. Schmitt of the Diocese of Brooklyn. The inscription reads, "with The Cordial Homage of The Author." This item is sold by Kubik Fine Books Ltd.
