Silkie - Legendary, Midnight & Legendary Red Pomerol - 70cl - 3 bottles

Exclusive Auction: Three premium expressions of The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey – Legendary Blue (flagship), Midnight (intense peated), and Pomerol Cask Finish – for collectors of handcrafted Irish whiskey with contrasting profiles! This select lot comprises one bottle of The Legendary Silkie (Legendary Blue), one bottle of The Legendary Midnight Silkie, and one bottle of The Legendary Red Silkie Pomerol (Pomerol cask-finished edition). All are from Sliabh Liag Distillers (Ardara, Donegal, Ireland) and inspired by the mythical Silkie seals of the Gaelic coast. Bottles are standard size (70 cl), 46% ABV (or variations), with original labels intact (elegant and mythological designs), excellent fill level, and impeccable condition – perfect for collectors of handcrafted Irish whiskey, comparative tastings, or expanding a collection of peated and wine-finished blends. Star Piece 1: The Legendary Silkie Irish Whiskey (Legendary Blue) The original flagship, blended for signature smoothness: double and triple distilled malts, soft grain whiskey, and a subtle hint of peated malt. • Profile: Fresh and balanced, with crisp green apple, pear, honey, easy malt, orange zest, hob nob biscuits, and a minimal touch of gentle smoke. Long finish with warm spices and oaky sweetness. • Style: Approachable and smooth (46% ABV, non-chill filtered), ideal for Irish whiskey beginners or as a base for highballs. It represents the mythological heritage and distilling renaissance of Donegal. Star Piece 2: The Legendary Midnight Silkie Irish Whiskey The smokiest expression in the core range, completing the trilogy. 35% triple-distilled peated single malt at its heart, blended with four additional triple-distilled single malts (including virgin oak and imperial stout cask finishes in some batches). • Profile: Rich, complex, and powerful with fragrant smoke; notes of sweet pipe smoke, rich earth, slow roast, spices, dark fruits, and a long, warming smoky finish. Non-chill filtered, natural color. • Style: Intense yet smooth Irish peat – perfect for those seeking depth and a clear identity in neat, on the rocks, or in smoky cocktails. Star Piece 3: The Legendary Red Silkie Pomerol (Pomerol Cask Finish) A limited edition that explores the Silkie profile in a new direction: finished in Pomerol wine casks from Bordeaux (Château Clos Renon or similar). The base of the classic blend is elevated with maturation in ex-red wine for a luxurious and fruity touch. • Profile: Intense and velvety; aromas of tarte tatin, candied peel, floral violet, subtle licorice, ripe cherries, strawberries, blackberries, raisins, sweet dates, and marzipan. On the palate: unctuous, rich, and smooth with raspberry coulis, notes of red fruit, chocolate, spices, and a perfectly integrated, subtle smoke. A long finish with elegant sweetness and floral touches. • Style: Irish fusion with Bordeaux influence – ideal for enjoying neat or with chocolate/fruit desserts. A coveted piece due to its rarity, fruity complexity, and increasing value. This trio offers a fascinating progression: from the smooth and fruity Legendary Blue to the intense smokiness of Midnight and the vinous luxury of the Pomerol finish. They represent the innovation of an Irish artisan distillery, a mythological heritage, and potential for appreciation in the market for rare peated Irish and wine-finished whiskies. [This lot is offered by a professional seller, therefore the bottle(s) that you receive may be different from the one(s) displayed in the picture, but the condition will be identical.] Bid on this legendary lot – liquid treasures of Donegal in their purest form!
