All auctions / Furniture, Design & Mirrors / Silver - Ring - Art Deco ca. 1940s

A sculptural and geometric statement of vintage Art Deco silversmithing, this architectural cocktail ring is cast in solid silver with deep contrast antique oxidation. The square crown features an elevated, stepped ziggurat structure with radiating corner ribs, milgrain borders, and openwork galleries encrusted with glittering pavé-set pyrite marcasites. Crowned at the apex in corner prongs is a square emerald-cut natural black onyx (or faceted black French glass) tablet displaying a satin-to-gloss face and crisp beveled corners. The high-profile gallery rises boldly off the finger, supported by a smooth, comfortable tapered band.
