Her artistic production draws on the primitive subconscious of childhood, playfulness and fairy-tale elements, which reveal themselves in an imagery illuminated by a vivid color range. Through the act of painting, the artist allows us to relive the moments we love; one can grasp everyday images in a dreamlike universe. Montanari's style is based on a representational fusion between reality and imagination. A realistic precision of outlines, a solidity of matter well grounded to the ground and around as if an atmosphere projecting our unconscious. Overall, a sense of restlessness, of introspection, prompting a search for something beyond the static nature of the characters.
