SKE - Goldorak - The Last Guardian

"Goldorak - The Last Guardian" Ultra-limited edition of only 10 copies. Artist: SKE Artist Instagram: ske_shakeyourart Format: A2 Technique: Fine art print on museum-grade Hahnemühle paper Mixed technique: digital painting (Procreate, generative tools, Photoshop) Edition: 03/10 Work sold unframed There are silhouettes that are never forgotten. Two golden horns, a yellow gaze, a red, blue and steel armor: Goldorak belongs to those icons that defined an entire generation before becoming a true symbol of pop culture. With Goldorak - The Last Guardian, I push this collective memory in a more raw and contemporary direction. Goldorak dominates the composition as a monumental presence, almost totemic. At its feet, a warrior in red armor faces the spectator, while a gigantic mechanical hand, silhouettes of UFOs and Spazers, technical sketches, Japanese characters, and a sketched Mount Fuji extend the UFO Robot Grendizer universe. Deep black is torn with white and red, between paint projections, splashes, construction lines, and street art energy. This confrontation between Japanese manga, 70s-80s robot culture, pop art, and urban graphic language transforms televisual memory into a contemporary collectible piece. The work is offered in portrait A2 format, printed on Hahnemühle art paper, in a limited edition of 10 copies. Each copy is hand-signed and numbered and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. For those who have never really left Goldorak and for those who want to bring this mechanical mythos into their collection. - FRAMING TIPS Your artwork is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to regain its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available in hardware or decoration stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant and affordable, they perfectly showcase the works. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist with a versatile background who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic output. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stencil, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double reading, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s valuation has risen notably. Winner of the Urban Master contest first prize (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, cementing his place on the contemporary art scene. Concurrently, SKE also asserts himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured surfaces characterize a now-inevitable style. SKE is, without a doubt, an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded & Acclaimed Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art AN UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while integrating the subversiveness of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to subvert the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, the Young Woman with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer, The Great Wave off Kanagawa by Hokusai, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms, to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and superheroes is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and the Marvel heroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar sign sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes sometimes recalling Jeff Koons’ glossy surfaces or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal to enrich a collection or bring a dynamic touch to your space. Instagram Artist SKE: ske_shakeyourart
