SKE - Jaws, Chill Edition

SKE - Jaws, Chill Edition

"Jaws, Chill Edition" – Limited Edition Edition number: 03/30 EA Number 05/30 EA ("Artist Edition", the rarest and most sought-after editions). Mixed media, digital painting (Procreate AI, Photoshop) Artist: SKE Publisher: Atelier Montmartre Paris Art paper 300 g/m² – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included In Jaws, Chill Edition, SKE reinterprets the film Jaws’ mythic tension to create a scene that is decidedly cool. On the surface, Snoopy calmly floats on his buoy, sunglasses in place, delivering a laid-back “Keep cool.” Vacation, relaxation, zero stress. Under the water, the vibe shifts slightly. The shark approaches, the scene becomes serious… but no one seems to worry up above. The danger is real, simply ignored. With this delicious contrast, SKE plays with the illusion of calm and comfort. As long as everything looks cool on the surface, what’s happening below is forgotten. Fear becomes just a detail off-screen. Pop colors, iconic cinematic references, and street-energy turn suspense into a visual gag. A light and ironic work that makes you smile right away and reminds us that it’s sometimes easy to stay cool… when you don’t look beneath the surface. Specifications: • Premium 300 g art paper • ISO A3 format, easy to frame • Each copy signed and numbered by SKE • Comes with certificate of authenticity • Shipped protected, reinforced packaging - FRAMING TIPS Your work is shipped rolled and protected in a tube. Upon receipt, remove it carefully and lay it flat for 48 to 72 hours to allow it to recover its shape before framing. ISO formats (A3, A2, A1…) are very easy to frame with standard frames available at DIY or home décor stores. Personally, I use Leroy Merlin aluminum frames: simple, elegant, and economical; they showcase the works perfectly. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught, versatile French artist who grew up in the 80s/90s culture, inspiring much of his body of work. He constantly experiments with new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with a double meaning, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional 2025, SKE’s market value has risen noticeably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as "Artist of the Month" in October and also featured in an American art magazine, confirming his international recognition. His works have been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place in contemporary art. In parallel, SKE is also making his mark in the digital art market, a major trend in recent years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and textured play characterize a now indispensable style. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with growing value. Artist Ranked & Awarded – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work sits in a prestigious lineage. His linework carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversiveness of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: revisiting classics, not hesitating to reinterpret Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to confront a contemporary urban aesthetic akin to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates childhood icons. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and the symbolic greed of Scrooge McDuck. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy universe to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories much like Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: you’ll encounter sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also incorporates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watches (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumer icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes recall Jeff Koons’ glossy surfaces or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
