SKE - Joyful Remix - INKO94

Technical characteristics - Artist: SKE - Number 01/10 - Title: INKO 94 – Joyful Remix - Technique: mixed media - Particularity: presence of a 3D INKO-94 sculpture integrated into a 3D box frame - Sculpture: piece crafted and hand-painted in acrylic - Support / presentation: artistic background within a 3D frame - Frame: wood, black color - Dimensions: 27 x 27 x 6 cm - Work: an original composition blending urban art, pop culture and contemporary sculpture. With Joyful Remix, SKE opens a new chapter in the INKO-94 universe: a more pop, more colorful, more joyful artistic direction, where the energy of street art meets the most recognizable iconography of contemporary art. At the heart of this composition, INKO-94 physically takes its place in the frame. This small 3D sculpture, made by the artist and painted in acrylic, does not merely accompany the image: it activates it, interrupts it, transforms it. True to its story, INKO-94, born from a programming error and an explosion of Montana 94 paint, continues its mission here: to intervene in images, blur hierarchies, awaken symbols and inject emotion into visual culture. The background functions as a genuine artistic playground, where several major references meet and dialogue. You can recognize Banksy’s Girl with Balloon, the dancing silhouettes of Keith Haring, Takashi Murakami’s famous smiling flower, and Jean-Michel Basquiat’s iconic crown. These deliberate borrowings are not mere decorative citations: they compose a visual remix, a collision of codes, gestures and signs that have become mythical in the history of urban and pop art. With this work, SKE does not simply juxtapose famous references. He stages a common language of emotion, spontaneity and collective memory. INKO-94 acts here as a poetic and rebellious mediator, a small graffiti robot that traverses works, detours icons and links worlds. The result is a piece that is playful, energetic and very contemporary, conceived as a hybrid art object between painting, sculpture and urban intervention. This first Joyful Remix edition fully embodies the DNA of the series: visually accessible art, yet rich in references; a work outwardly joyful, but built on real reflection about appropriation, popular culture and artistic trace. - ARTIST BIO: SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-terrain creator who grew up with 80s/90s culture, inspiring a large portion of his artistic work. He constantly explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meanings, fuse the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art. After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. Winner of the first prize at Urban Master (2023), then elected Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025). SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” by Opulence Gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition. His works have already been exhibited in major venues across Europe, the United States and Asia, cementing his presence on the contemporary art scene. In parallel, SKE also makes his mark in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors. Icons of pop culture, bold graphics and texture play characterize a style now indispensable. SKE is undoubtedly an artist to watch, to start or enrich a collection with rising value. Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work is rooted in a prestigious lineage. His line carries the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating Banksy’s subversion or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works bridge eras: they revisit classics, not hesitating to détourne Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or Picasso’s deconstructed forms to face a modern urban aesthetic akin to Mr Brainwash or KAWS. POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing on the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons from our childhood. He stages Disney’s universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics and graphic novels is omnipresent: from Nintendo and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), and Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami. LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style sometimes reminiscent of Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits beside logos of luxury and fashion giants. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: the sneaker world (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) and haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes evoking either the glossy surface of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski. This work is ideal for enriching a collection or adding a dynamic touch to your interior.
