Snowflake Wood - Amanda Horvath

Snowflake Wood by Amanda Horvath Painting 30.0 x 30.0 :: This painting captures a birch woodland near my home transformed by snow into a serene and beautiful scene. Gentle shadows stretch across the crisp white landscape while the soft winter sunlight glows with subtle pink hues. The dark textured bark of the birch trees stands out vividly against the snowy backdrop. Created from a semi-abstract perspective this piece is a deeply personal interpretation of the forest’s beauty and complexity—a place where reality and imagination merge seamlessly. Designed to bring energy and life to any space it invites viewers to pause dream and connect with the enchanting rhythm of the natural world. This one-of-a-kind artwork is painted with high-quality acrylics on a deep-edged canvas. The process begins outdoors where I closely observe the landscape capturing initial impressions through sketches notes and photographs. These serve as references back in the studio where the painting gradually takes shape. Guided by intuition I begin with broad brushwork to lay down the foundation then build up layers of texture using impasto techniques and a palette knife. Drawing inspiration from the optical blending techniques of the Impressionists I apply expressive vibrant colours in such a way that from a distance the marks visually merge into a richly immersive woodland scene. The painting continues around the edges of the canvas enhancing its sense of depth and continuity. It comes fully finished and ready to hang no framing required. :: Type: Painting Medium: Acrylic Style: Fine Art Subject: Landscape Width: 30.0 Height: 30.0 Depth: 1.5 Weight: 1 lbs Framed: no :: All art on Zatista is original and signed.
