Solar - Aqua Deep Bay Bronze / Helium escape valve - No...

Solar Aqua Deep Bay Bronze Brown – Ref. SA0030.0002 Solar Aqua is a relatively uncommon Swiss watch brand with a strong connection to exploration and extreme environments. The modern collection is built around Swiss mechanical watchmaking and a design philosophy inspired by adventure, precision and technical performance. The Deep Bay collection takes this idea to an extreme, with its name referring to Baffin Bay and a certified water resistance of 2,136 metres. The Ref. SA0030.0002 is the brown version of the Deep Bay Bronze. The 45 mm brushed bronze case is paired with a warm brown dial and a black high-end silicone strap. The combination of bronze and brown gives the watch a more vintage and adventurous character, while the large case and technical construction make it unmistakably a serious diving watch. The bronze case is combined with a unidirectional rotating bronze bezel featuring a ceramic insert. The brown dial is fitted with Super-LumiNova hands and indexes, providing strong visibility in low-light conditions. A sapphire crystal with a magnifying lens at 3 o’clock protects the dial and date display. Inside is a Peseux P224 automatic movement, specially modified for Solar Aqua. The watch also features a screw-down bronze crown, a screw-locked stainless steel case back, a helium escape valve and magnetic resistance. According to Solar Aqua, the Deep Bay is certified to 2,136 metres / 7,008 feet / 213.6 ATM. One of the most interesting aspects of a bronze watch is that the case will naturally develop a patina over time. This means the appearance of the bronze can gradually change with use, giving the watch an increasingly individual character.
