This device is a Sony VPL-MX20 with about 60 hours of use, a ultra-portable mobile projector that was originally launched in 2009. Thanks to its slim, flat design (only 4.5 cm thick) and light weight (1.7 kg), this was at the time a premium top model for business professionals who had to give presentations on the go. The device features Sony's then-innovative BrightEra 3LCD technology, which provided better color brightness and longer reliability of the LCD panel. The projector is mounted in a sturdy, custom blue transport case. Key Specifications • Projection technology: 3LCD (3-chip design with 0.63" BrightEra TFT panels) • Brightness: 2,500 ANSI lumens (2,000 lumens in Eco power-saving mode) • Native Resolution: XGA (1024 x 768 pixels) with a traditional 4:3 aspect ratio • Contrast Ratio: 650:1 • Weight & Dimensions: 1.7 kg and measures 273 x 206 x 45 mm • Lamp Life: About 2,000 hours in normal mode up to 3,000 hours in Eco mode (Lamp type: LMP-M200) • Connectors: Primarily analog via a VGA (D-Sub 15-pin) port and Composite RCA Useful Features & Noteworthy Facts • Advanced Intelligent Auto Setup: When you turn on the projector, it automatically focuses within a few seconds and corrects the image angle (vertical keystone correction). • Off-and-Go: After a presentation you don’t have to wait for the fan to cool down; you can unplug it and pack it away immediately. • PC-less Presenting: The model supports loading basic media files directly via built-in software. This will still run for many hours. Tested by me but not further used because it was the wrong purchase.
