Soviet Poster – Jeu de 54 cartes illustrées – Medny...

Russian souvenir card game focused on the iconography of Soviet posters, published by Medny Vsadnik / Медный всадник, in Saint Petersburg. The game comprises 54 different cards, each illustrated by a reproduction of a poster, a character, or a visual inspired by the Soviet era. It features themes related to propaganda, work, Soviet history, and space exploration. The offered copy is in new, never-opened condition, and is still kept in its original intact plastic wrap. The old Russian price tag of 120 rubles is still present on the packaging, which is an interesting detail for a collectible item and bears witness to its sale in Russia. The box notably bears the phrases: “SOUVENIR PLAYING CARDS” “54 cards – 54 unique pictures!” On the back, several card examples are visible, including illustrations featuring Yuri Gagarin, Stalin, and various Soviet posters. This is a modern Russian souvenir edition reproducing posters from the Soviet era, and not a game manufactured in the USSR.
