SPAIN. Viceroyalty of New Spain. 1779-Mo FF 4 Reales. Mexico City

SPAIN. Viceroyalty of New Spain. 1779-Mo FF 4 Reales. Mexico City Mint. Calico-891, Yonaka-M4-79, KM-97.2. EF-45 (PCGS). Boldly defined from a nicely executed strike, this lightly circulated example reveals flickers of original frosty luster as the surfaces rotate into direct lighting. Rich toning dominates the in-hand appearance, however, with dominant mauve-gray and olive-russet backlit by iridescent gold, blue and rose. Moderately abraded on the obverse, although the marks are buried in the toning and singularly inconspicuous during in-hand appreciation. Provenance: From the Emerald Coast Collection. PCGS# 146311.
