This painting, of fine execution, characteristic of the tradition of triptychs inherited from the primitives, features colors and a composition that reflect Italian and Spanish influences. The choice of a representation of the Adoration surrounded by Saint Thomas Aquinas and Saint Teresa is not accidental; it is a feature of the Counter-Reformation and was probably commissioned as part of a series of artworks.
