The cutwork embroidery is famous for its fineness, lightness and transparency: an art handed down from generation to generation that requires precision, patience, and extraordinary manual skill. The technique consists of transferring onto the fabric a design created specifically to achieve, in the end, a wide transparency that resembles lace. The entire design is outlined by a double or triple row of stitches to give support to the fabric so it does not fray, then the joining bars are created between the various motifs.
