North Africa, Morocco. A group of four fossil reptile teeth of varying size and form, comprising three mosasaur teeth and one Spinosaurus tooth. The largest mosasaur tooth is preserved with its bony root, which anchored the tooth in the jaw of these large marine lizards, and the two smaller mosasaur teeth are slender and curved, with finely striated enamel. The Spinosaurus tooth is long and straight, with a rounded cross-section and longitudinal fluting along the crown, features suited to gripping fish. Together the group shows the range of tooth shapes Cretaceous predators used to seize and hold prey. Item # 204878
