SPIROU - Journal Album, No. 95 - Lot 262

SPIROU - Journal Album, No. 95 Dupuis, 1964. Large quarto, hardcover, cloth-bound spine, front cover illustrated in color by André Franquin. A charming collection of stories from *Le Journal Spirou*, corresponding to issue No. 95, emblematic of the Marcinelle school’s full maturity. The particularly elegant cover depicts Spirou at the piano, accompanied by the inimitable Marsupilami, whose serpentine tail enlivens the entire composition. This issue is part of the most sought-after period of hardcover collections from the early 1960s and remains highly prized for its iconic cover by Franquin.
