Statue, Art Deco stijl danseres met uitwaaierende cape –...

Large Art Deco style dancer figures with an outstretched cape – inspired by Demétre Chiparus Exceptionally decorative and imposing figure of an elegant dancer in pronounced Art Deco style, inspired by the iconic dancers of the famous sculptor Demétre Chiparus. The dancer stands in a graceful, almost theatrical pose with both arms fully extended. From her arms falls an impressive pleated cape, giving the statue a beautiful fan shape. The combination of dark bronze tones, gold accents, and deep purple gives the whole piece a rich and luxurious appearance. The clothing is also specially well executed. The headdress, floral ornaments, graceful lines and many gold-colored details clearly refer to the exotic dancers and theatre costumes that are so characteristic of the Art Deco design of the twenties and thirties. This is emphatically not an original work by Demétre Chiparus and not an antique statue from the original Art Deco period. It is a modern decorative sculpture, estimated to have been made about 2010–2020, produced in a resin/epoxy-like composite material. The statue sits on a heavy, black rectangular plinth with marbled decoration. And the wide span of the outstretched cape makes this a particularly striking object that immediately draws attention. Condition The statue is in new condition and has been very well preserved. The sculpture, decorative finish and plinth present themselves in excellent condition. The photos provide a clear impression of the execution and condition and form part of the description. An impressive decorative piece for lovers of Art Deco, figurative sculptures, dance and the characteristic language of Chiparus. Dimensions: Height 27.5 cm Width 21 cm Depth 6.5 cm Photos give a clear picture of the quality and are part of the description. The whole will be well packed and shipped with tracking.
