Statue, Figura Sacra Presepe Napoletano - 28 cm - Textile, Paper - 1800

An ancient devotional statuette, presumably a sacred figure from a Neapolitan presepe tradition of the 18th or 19th century, characterized by a head and limbs in terracotta or wood and original fabric garments. Some fingers on the hands are damaged. The cheek shows a small crack, the head is intact with a hole for the halo. The garment is worn with age and at the back there is a reinforcement later added on a shoulder with newspaper. The structure is made of iron wire with hemp fibers. Glass eyes
