Statue, Houten heiligen beeld - 32 cm - Wood

Beautiful hand-carved wooden sculpture depicting a religious or historical figure, most likely a saint or a monk. Or perhaps Jesus Christ with the holy wine cup. The statue shows a man with a beard and a robe with a hood (cowl). In his left hand he holds an object that strongly resembles a chalice, goblet or an hourglass. The carving has a rustic, folk-art style in which the natural grain and color nuances of the wood are left beautifully visible. Probably made in Spain circa 1960-1970. Dimensions: 32 cm high and 9 cm wide. Condition: in excellent condition, with small cracks. See photos Photos are part of the description. These were taken under artificial light; the color may vary. Mood impressions are shown. The statue will be well packed and sent by registered mail. Jiljes, where quality and service come first!
