Beautiful decorative hand-carved wooden statue of a roaring tiger (often also described as a panther or large feline), crafted in a dynamic, stalking pose on a curved wooden base. Thailand circa 1960-1970 Such vintage woodcarvings are popular as decorative art. Carved in a characteristic Art Deco style. They have been made over the years in various Asian regions, such as in the Philippines, India (often rosewood/palisander) this one from Thailand (former Siam).
