Typed letter signed by Stefan Zweig, Austrian writer. The letter is dated March 3, 1932 in Salzburg. Typed in black ink on vellum paper sheet, with autograph signature in black ink, handwritten corrections (one word corrected, one word added) and an old handwritten annotation in the margin. The recipient is not named (“Mr. the Marquis”). According to all likelihood, this letter comes from a collection related to the d’Arcangues family and would have been addressed to Pierre d’Arcangues, Marquis of Iranda, but this attribution remains a hypothesis. In this letter addressed to a marquis, Stefan Zweig mentions the project of his correspondent, tells him that a journal defending the same ideas is being prepared in Paris and suggests he contact its editor. He also explains that he cannot join the committee due to lack of time, and expresses his sympathy for the venture. - Dimensions: 21.2 x 26.6 cm - Condition: Good overall.
