studio pirouette - Stool - Soliloquy - Steel

This seat is the first prototype of a collection of outdoor objects (from the stool to the planter, including the bench and the swing). Its goal is to find an efficient way to manufacture several typologies of objects with a single tool/template. It is in this objective that I drew a single curve allowing the birth of several typologies of objects. Thus, it will be easier and less costly to manufacture these objects ... even in small quantities! The little plus lies in an important detail. If you look closely, you will see that the crossbars (which support the seat) are welded to the structural curve with a regular gap. Thanks to this choice that facilitates shaping, the bars gradually move away from each other and an illusion of a gradient begins to take shape. It is made of steel painted with an epoxy “pigeon blue” paint. These dimensions are: 460 x 460 x 460 mm. It was manufactured in November 2023. It has been used for 3 exhibitions and several shoots. It shows a few marks on the protective pads, as well as on the paint (see photos). This stool is signed with a punched aluminum plate and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity. It is a unique piece.
