Style of Jackson Pollock (American, 1912-1956): Abstract Composition. Oil on cardboard, signed lower right, verso has several decorative stamps, unframed. Paul Jackson Pollock was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was widely noticed for his "drip technique" of pouring or splashing liquid household paint onto a horizontal surface, enabling him to view and paint his canvases from all angles. 15 x 39.75 inches unframed. Private collection, North Carolina, USA. Very good condition; the edges of the cardboard are slightly worn; corners are rounded; the cardboard is slightly warped/wavy, paper surface loss verso. NOTE: If documentation is not listed, the lot is sold without documents. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions prior to bidding. Color fidelity of photos presented is not guaranteed. Lack of a condition statement does not imply that a lot is perfect. Please examine photos, read descriptions, and contact the Gallery with any questions prior to bidding. All sales are final. Winning bidders will be sent invoices from our gallery. Credit cards are accepted for invoices under $1000. Higher amounts must be paid by e-check or wire transfer.
