SUSAN WIERGO - SUSAN WIERGO - Sculpture, CATARSIS - 490 cm - Papier-mache

Susan Wiergo - Catharsis Unsigned, handwritten signature - Unique Piece - 1/1 - 2026 Original work by the Spanish artist Susan Wiergo - Only Susan. Title: "Catharsis" Year: 2025 This sculpture has an incredible presence. A brutal play of textures between the earthy roughness of the bust and the glossy, metallic, silver droplets that slide from the top. That contrast creates a striking tension, between the organic, human and volcanic, and a flow that seems to illuminate, purify and transform the figure. Technique: Fully handmade, without molds. Born layer by layer with recycled paper, plaster and cement until achieving a skin that looks like volcanic rock, porous, black, raw, like cooled lava. The silvery flow that runs through it is its light, its catharsis. Signature: Hand-signed at the base. Dimensions: 49 x 23 x 20 cm. Weight: 1.5 kg. This piece is unique and has its own soul. There is no other like it. Each pore, each crack and every drop of that silvery metal is unrepeatable because there is no mass production, only gesture. Provenance: Directly from the artist's studio in Spain. Condition: New and excellent. Ready to be displayed indoors. Shipping: It will be sent with maximum care, wrapped in bubble wrap and a reinforced cardboard box.

Estimate:£167.51
