Vintage Wooden Swing-Arm Wall Lamp with Hand-Woven Wire Shade – 1960s/70s – Japandi Style Object description Description: Beautiful and atmospheric vintage swing-arm wall lamp (scissor lamp) from the 60s/70s, almost entirely made of solid light wood with a warm grain. This lamp perfectly combines mid-century retro design with contemporary, minimalist Japandi and Wabi-Sabi living trends, where natural materials and craftsmanship are central. The hinged wooden arm is manually adjustable, allowing the reach to be tailored to your liking. The shade position can be easily fixed and tilted with the characteristic wooden wing-nut construction at the end. The absolute centerpiece of this lamp is the hexagonal (hexon) wire shade. This authentic shade is hand meticulously wound with fine thread in typical 70s earth tones: olive green, terracotta/rust brown, dark brown and cream. When the lamp is on, the threads filter the light in an incredibly warm, diffuse and atmospheric way. This creates a calming, organic light pattern that fits perfectly in a modern, warm Japandi interior. Condition: The lamp is in a neat, fully functioning vintage condition.
