(t) CHINA. Kirin. 7.2 Candareens (10 Cents), CD (1908). Kirin Mint.

(t) CHINA. Kirin. 7.2 Candareens (10 Cents), CD (1908). Kirin Mint. Kuang-hsu (Guangxu). PCGS Genuine--Cleaned, VF Details. L&M-582; K-579; KM-Y-180C; WS-0542. A VERY RARE minor from Kirin, this type features the unique attribute of having a "1" at the center of the character-side design where one might usually find a flower pot of yin-yang on most Kirin coinage. Astoundingly, this is the very first time we have offered this issue in our sales, with the last appearance outside of a mainland auction appearing well over a decade ago. An undoubtedly important occasion for the specialized collector as such. Estimate: $5,000 - $10,000. Provenance: From the Robin C S Cheng (鄭鎮新) Collection. Image with the PCGS TrueView logo is obtained from and is subject to a license agreement with Collectors Universe, Inc. and its divisions PCGS and PSA.
