Artistically Rendered 1911 50 Cents Pattern (t) CHINA. Silver 50 Cents Pattern, Year 3 (1911). Tientsin Mint. Hsuan-t'ung (Xuantong [Puyi]). NCS EF Details--Improperly Cleaned. L&M-39; K-228; KM-Y-30; WS-0047; Wenchao-121 (rarity: ★★★). Variety with incuse swirl on fiery pearl. Struck contemporaneously with the other 1911 patterns, including the Long and Short Whisker Dollars, this 50 Cents shares in their artistry and considerable visual appeal. The finely engraved dragon is well struck, with a pleasing sharpness that remains evident despite some time outside protected hands, and the result is an accessible opportunity for the collector of true RARITIES. Estimate: $15,000 - $25,000. Provenance: From the Yang Ai Hao Collection. To view all items from the Yang Ai Hao Collection, click here.
