Extremely Rare Cash of Liu Yu (t) CHINA. Tartar Dynasties - Jin Dynasty. State of Qi. Cash, ND (ca. 1130-7). Emperor Liu Yu (Fu Chang). Graded "88" by GBCA Grading Company. Hartill-18.80; FD-1676. Weight: 10.3 gms. Variety with regular script. This nicely preserved short-lived issued displays rich mottled green, blue and brown patina with minor earthen deposits amongst the devices. The inscription is bold and well formed with good metal quality. A pleasing example of this EXTREMELY RARE type that is sure to pique the interest of many collectors seeking difficult to obtain issues. According to Hartill, "In 1130, the Jin set up the collaborator Liu Yu as Emperor of a puppet regime with the dynastic name of Qi. He adopted the period title Fu Chang, and issued coins of fine quality bearing this title. He was deposed in 1137." Estimate: $7,000 - $10,000.
