(t) HONG KONG (SAR). 5 Cents, 1941-KN. Birmingham (Kings Norton) Mint. George VI. PCGS MS-64. KM-22; Mars-C14; Prid-162. A lustrous and well-preserved near-Gem representative of this popular wartime Hong Kong minor. Released shortly before the outbreak of the Pacific War and the fall of Hong Kong, high-grade survivors are exceptionally elusive due to heavy wartime loss and melting. The strike is precise on both sides, with sharp lettering, strong central detail, and pleasingly reflective steel-gray surfaces. Attractive overall eye appeal for the grade. Estimate: $3,000 - $5,000. Click here for certification details from PCGS. Image with the PCGS TrueView logo is obtained from and is subject to a license agreement with Collectors Universe, Inc. and its divisions PCGS and PSA. 1941-KN年香港伍仙。
