Table clock - John Smith London

Decorative wooden mantel clock in a classic English style with a curved arch top, a handle at the top, and brass finials and claw feet. The richly engraved dial features Roman and Arabic numerals, with a moving moon phase in the arch field. Although the dial is marked with "John Smith London", the movement is a high-quality French timepiece by L. P. Japy & Cie with the stamp "Hors Concours 1878" and serial number 17096. The clock has a bell strike and is supplied with a winding key. Condition: Good, working condition. Runs and strikes as it should.
