This specific time-piece comes with an extraordinary and rare piece of provenance: its original paper warranty certificate ("Bulletin de Garantie") issued on July 26, 1957, by the "Maurice Bussienne" jewelry and watch shop in Athus, Belgium, matching the clock's serial number (1577). Key Features & Specifications: - Brand/Manufacturer: Franz Hermle & Söhne (Germany) - Movement Type: Mechanical 8-day movement with patented "Schwebeanker" (Floating Anchor) system, which allows the clock to operate accurately even on slightly uneven surfaces without the need for a traditional pendulum. - Chime: 4/4 Westminster chime playing on 5 resonant rod gongs every quarter-hour, followed by hourly strikes. - Features: 3 winding arbors on the dial (chime, timekeeping, strike). Equipped with a manual chime-silent lever mechanism at the back to mute the sound if preferred. - Case Design: Elegant Art Deco / Mid-Century "Napoleon hat" (Tambour) curved wooden case with rich wood veneer grain and discrete carved details at the base. - Dial: Clean cream-colored chapter ring with raised golden numerals, brass hands, and a hinged convex glass crystal door in a polished brass bezel. - Accessories Included: Original winding key and the rare, original 1957 handwritten warranty certificate. Condition Report: - Mechanical Condition: Fully functional. The movement runs reliably, keeps good time, and the complete Westminster chime sequence triggers correctly. - Aesthetic Condition: Excellent vintage condition for its age (nearly 70 years old). The wooden case shows minor, authentic signs of contact on the bottom and light age-related patina on the brass elements, preserving its genuine historical character. No cracks or deep damage to the wood or glass. Dimensions : - Width: 62.5 cm - Height: 23.5 cm - Depth: 17.5 cm A wonderful, complete collector's set ready to display and enjoy. The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description. The clock works correctly. Before every sale of a watch of any kind, it is checked by a qualified person, precisely to avoid the sale of a damaged object.
