This is an elegant, heavy antique table lamp base designed in the timeless Neoclassical style, dating from the early 20th century (circa 1920–1930). • Base & Column Details: The lamp features a heavily stepped, multi-tier octagonal base accented by fine repeating acanthus leaf and egg-and-dart relief bands. Rising from the base is an ornate, rounded floral/leaf-motif node leading into a distinct ribbed or reeded columnar stem. • Material & Build: Cast from a heavy white metal alloy or zinc spelter finished in an aged bronze/brass patina, giving it a handsome, weathered antique appearance. The underside features a classic open-cavity tiered structure with integrated internal structural bracing. Bonus Accent: Includes a modern, contemporary fabric drum lampshade featuring an abstract metallic black-and-grey textured pattern. The metalwork is in good vintage condition, displaying a natural, authentic patina with subtle wear consistent with its age.
