All auctions / Lighting / Table lamp - Attributed to A.VE.M

An iconic object of Italian design from the 1960s, attributed to A.VE.M. / Manifattura Muranese" or "A.VE.M. style / Fratelli Pitau (Murano, 60s/70s)" This splendid glass bedside lamp in the shape of a comical character, a clown, with a gilt brass structure, is characterized by a cheerful and playful design. The lamp’s structure consists of a thick glass base and two leaves that rise to the sides to cover the inverted glass bell. The frame is in satin brass; note the presence of one original E14 bulb still functioning! Lamps were very popular toward the end of the 1940s, as were chandeliers of the same type and craftsmanship made by many Murano firms such as Barovier & Toso. This lamp is perfect for illuminating a work or study corner, but can also be used in other areas of the home, such as the bedroom or living room. The lamp is in excellent condition with only minor signs of wear due to age, authentic electrical system, functioning, to be serviced. Dimensions: Height: 32 cm Width: 14 cm Due to current conditions, shipping to the United States is not permitted, please forgive us. Thank you
