Table lamp - Lacquered metal, chromed steel

Add a touch of iconic Italian elegance to your study or living space with this splendid Mid-Century desk lamp Model "Art. 228". Made in Italy, dating from the mid-50s to the 60s, it perfectly embodies the sophisticated aesthetic of the era's modernism, blending ergonomic functionality with balanced sculptural lines. The tapered chrome metal stem features an adjustable joint, allowing the characteristic hemispherical shade to be tilted. The finish in a deep red-bordeaux lacquer gives the piece a strong, scenographic personality, creating a striking contrast with the bright chrome parts. Under the base, the original factory mark is embossed with the inscription "ART 228" enclosed in a circle, a key element attesting to its vintage production. In the 1950s and 60s, Italian lighting production enjoyed a golden age driven by experimentation with aluminum and chrome metals. Small to mid-sized excellence workshops produced iconic models (labeled with workshop article numbers like "Art. 228"), inspired by the aerodynamic lines of the masters of Italian design. A timeless piece of furniture, ready to be inserted into vintage design collections or to adorn a managerial desk with a refined, exclusive retro atmosphere. The lamp has been tested and is in perfect working order, ready to illuminate your reading or work moments. USED, it shows the classic signs of wear and age.
