Table lamp - Silvered bronze - Quinqué

Refined mid-20th-century table lamp inspired by the elegant 19th-century candle-stands, made in silver-plated brass and conceived within the historicist taste of the Napoleon III style. The piece faithfully reproduces the forms of ancient oil lamps, combining electrical functionality with the decorative sophistication characteristic of French bourgeois interiors. Its structure features a stylized turned column in a classical profile that rests on a wide circular base like a tray, a traditional element in antique candle-stands originally meant to catch possible fuel spills. The silver finish, gently toned by the passage of time, adds depth and enhances the volumes of the piece, granting it an attractive antique appearance. What stands out is especially its large opaline glass spherical lampshade engraved, decorated with delicate floral motifs in relief barely perceptible that enrich the luminosity of the ensemble. The wavy lip and the pierced ring that holds the shade add a refined ornamental detail typical of the Napoleon III decorative repertoire. It also preserves the characteristic decorative side key inspired by the regulation mechanisms of old candle-stands, a detail that reinforces its historical evocation. Elegant and decorative, this lamp constitutes an ideal piece for classic, eclectic, or romantic environments, providing warm illumination and a strong ornamental presence. A charming object that unites nineteenth-century French elegance with the quality of craftsmanship typical of mid-20th-century decorative productions. Insured shipping and careful packaging.
