Extending round dining table – Mahogany veneer with star/sunburst veneer Elegant round dining table in a classically neoclassical style with especially decorative, radially arranged star/sunburst veneer. The elaborately designed tabletop displays a warm, lively wood grain and is framed by a surrounding veneered edge. The table stands on four slim, fluted and slightly tapered legs and features a classic rail/frame. Particularly practical is the extension function: The two halves of the tabletop can be pulled apart and extended with the existing insert board. This transforms the compact round table into a generous oval dining table. The darker insert board forms a beautiful contrast to the radially veneered main board when extended and emphasizes the furniture’s classic character. The table is in good, well-maintained vintage condition with signs of age and use. Minor wear on edges and rails are present and documented in the photos. The extension mechanism and the original-looking metal fittings are also visible in the detail images. A decorative and functional piece of furniture with exceptionally beautiful veneer work – ideal for enthusiasts of classic and high-quality vintage furniture. Details: Material: wood, veneer Veneering: mahogany / mahogany-like veneer Shape: round, extended oval Finish: radial star veneer Function: extendable Insert board: present Height: approx. 70 cm Diameter: approx. 100 cm Condition: good vintage condition Manufacturer/Designer: not labeled or unknown Dating: probably second half of the 20th century
