Antique solid wood book-table in solid wood with a rotating top, drawer, and turned legs. A sturdy antique table in solid wood, characterized by four turned legs, a large front drawer, and a distinctive transformable top. The table features an interesting opening mechanism: the upper panel can be rotated anticlockwise on the base and then opened like a book, doubling the available surface. When opened it measures about 115 × 146 cm, transforming from a compact table into a wide dining table. The construction is robust, with a solid wood frame and top; inside you can see the frame structure and the boards that make up the furniture. The interior space can be used to easily store tablecloths or dishes. It shows small imperfections and normal wear consistent with its age and use, clearly documented in the photographs. The furniture is solid and retains a pleasing patina. Closed dimensions: 115 × 73 cm; height 82 cm. Open dimensions: about 115 × 146 cm; height 82 cm. A particularly versatile and decorative piece, interesting both for its traditional construction and for the ingenious book-opening mechanism. Due to its size I do not ship it; pickup is entirely at the buyer’s responsibility and expense. The pickup city is Reggio Emilia. Given the dimensions and the table’s sturdiness, the buyer should arrive with an appropriate vehicle and bring protective blankets/plastic wrap and straps to protect and secure it during transport; assistance will be provided for moving and loading.
