Presented for auction by Second Vintage This classic 90s TAG Heuer Professional features a highly distinctive grey granite dial, a trademark finish that gives this specific model an unmistakable visual presence. Preserved with an attractive creamy patina across its luminous elements, the watch offers a strong combination of rugged utility and compelling aesthetic character. Brand: TAG Heuer Model: Professional Reference Number: WD1211-K-20 Movement: Quartz, ETA caliber 955.412 Dial: Grey granite texture with luminous indices Case Size: 39 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel Production Year: 1990s Condition: Good vintage condition. Dial and Hands The dial exhibits excellent preservation with attractive patina, defined by a distinctive grey granite or speckled texture. Applied indices with silver surrounds provide clear legibility, while the luminous material has aged beautifully to a consistent creamy tone. All printed text remains crisp and intact. The watch is fitted with Mercedes-style hands featuring luminous fill that perfectly matches the dial indices. Under magnification, minor oxidation is visible on the metal surfaces of the hands, reflecting light aging consistent with the era. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case displays honest wear, retaining relatively well-defined edges beneath a brushed finish. Scattered scratches and scuffs are present throughout, representing typical wear consistent with age and use. The steel unidirectional bezel shows scratches and scuffs on its surface and edges, though the black-filled numerals remain mostly intact and the luminous pip is present at the twelve o'clock position. The signed crown, bearing the TAG Heuer shield logo, exhibits scratches and wear on its polished face. A flat sapphire crystal protects the dial, remaining clear with no significant scratches or chips visible. Movement Powering the watch is a quartz movement, specifically the ETA-based caliber 955.412. The movement presents a clean appearance with no obvious signs of corrosion or damage, and a battery is currently present. It is clearly engraved with "TAG HEUER 1.95", "SEVEN 7 JEWELS V8 SWISS", and the caliber number "955 412". Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed multi-link stainless steel bracelet. The bracelet shows normal wear, with scratches and scuffs consistent with the wear on the case. It secures via a signed folding clasp, and the endlinks are marked 610/410. The bracelet will accommodate a maximum wrist size of 18.5 cm. Condition Good vintage condition. The dial is exceptionally well-preserved, showing attractive creamy patina on the luminous elements and a striking granite texture. The hands display minor oxidation under magnification. The stainless steel case, bezel, and original signed bracelet exhibit honest wear, with scattered scratches and scuffs throughout their surfaces. The sapphire crystal remains clear and free of significant marks, while the quartz movement is clean and intact. Dimensions The case measures 39 mm in diameter, excluding the crown. Remarks This TAG Heuer Professional offers a highly distinct visual identity thanks to its grey granite dial. Complete with its original signed steel bracelet and characterized by a beautifully aged creamy patina, it presents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a robust and highly recognizable 1990s design. History The TAG Heuer 1500 Series was introduced in 1990 and remained in production until 1998, representing a core part of the brand's professional sports watch lineup during the decade. The distinctive granite dial finish was a trademark feature exclusive to the 1500 series, deliberately setting it apart from other TAG Heuer model lines. Powered by the reliable ETA caliber 955.412, reference WD1211-K-20 reflects the era's shift toward robust, precision-focused quartz sports watches with strong individual character.
