TAG Heuer - Professional - No reserve price - 964.013 R - Men - 1990-1999

Presented for auction by Second Vintage This classic 90s two-tone diver offers a highly distinctive textured gold-tone dial within the recognizable geometry of the TAG Heuer Professional. Preserving its original signed crown and clasp, the watch presents an honest, character-rich aesthetic typical of the era's standard production models. Brand: TAG Heuer Model: Professional Reference Number: 964.013 R Serial Number: CC9988 Movement: Swiss quartz Dial: Textured gold-tone with applied luminous indices Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown) Case Material: Stainless steel, gold-tone Production Year: 1990s Condition: Fair vintage condition. Dial and Hands The dial features a distinctive textured gold-tone finish that remains well-preserved. Applied luminous indices with gold-tone surrounds mark the hours, while the printed text remains crisp and intact. The dial utilizes tritium for its luminescent markers, as indicated by the 'T Swiss Made T' designation, showing even aging across the surface. Mercedes-style hands with luminous fill display minor age-related oxidation on their metal surfaces, while their lume color perfectly matches the dial indices. Case and Crystal The stainless steel case shows moderate scratches and handling wear, maintaining an honest character consistent with its age and use. The edges remain relatively defined, with no major deep dents visible on the steel flanks. A gold-tone unidirectional rotating bezel frames the dial, displaying significant plating loss on the outer edges and rider tabs, though the black numerals and indices remain mostly intact alongside a luminous pip at 12 o'clock. The gold-tone screw-down crown is clearly signed with the TAG Heuer shield logo and shows some wear to its finish. The watch is fitted with a flat sapphire crystal, confirmed by the caseback engraving, which appears clear with no significant scratches or chips visible. Movement This reference is powered by a Swiss quartz movement featuring a practical quick-set date function. Strap The watch is fitted with its original signed bracelet, featuring a two-tone jubilee-style configuration. While structurally intact, the bracelet exhibits heavily worn plating with significant loss on the gold-tone center links and end links. The end links are stamped 303/31. It secures via an original folding clasp signed with the TAG Heuer shield and accommodates a maximum wrist size of 17.5 cm. Condition Fair vintage condition. The dial and sapphire crystal remain very well-preserved, showcasing the attractive gold-tone dial texture clearly. The stainless steel case displays moderate scratches and handling wear without deep dents, while the gold-tone bezel, crown, and original bracelet exhibit significant plating loss consistent with active use. Dimensions The case measures 35 mm (excluding the crown). Remarks This TAG Heuer Professional delivers the classic 1990s two-tone aesthetic with a standout textured dial. The presence of its original signed crown, signed clasp, and confirmed sapphire crystal make it a solid representation of the brand's enduring design language from the decade. History The TAG Heuer Professional series became a defining pillar for the brand during the 1990s, offering robust utility wrapped in recognizable sports styling. Powered by reliable Swiss quartz movements, these models often featured the signature Mercedes hands, tritium luminescence, and distinctive rider-tab bezels that characterized the era's approach to recreational sports watches. This reference 964.013 R perfectly represents that period of standard production, reflecting the two-tone configurations that were highly popular throughout the decade.
