Taiyo Toy Co

Rare Taiyo Police Helicopter tin from Japan, 1950s This vintage model is deliberately designed with an open cockpit, so the two pilot figures with their helmets are directly visible and accessible. A beautiful example of Japanese tin litho toy from the golden age of tin toys. • Brand: Taiyo - Made in Japan • Model: 50137 POLICE • Material: Tin litho toy, litho printed • Operation: With original wired remote control (black battery box with 2 red buttons and green cable) Tested and working: Rotor spins, light in the nose shines. The helicopter moves both forward and backward. Forward is a bit slower / heavier than backward, fitting with the age and technology of this model. A fun, fully functional piece of technology from that era! In nice vintage, played-with condition. Lithography is still bright with clear POLICE lettering and badge. Light signs of use and patina, without major dents. See photos for an accurate impression. Complete set with remote control - rare to still find complete. A must-have for the collector of Japanese tin toys, police or helicopter themes.
