Tapestry - 187 cm - 112 cm - A lush hunting tapestry

- Lana. - This Jacquard hunting tapestry, woven in the mid-20th century, is a study in technical and aesthetic nostalgia that masterfully revives the bucolic charm of 16th‑century France. The piece unfolds as a dense vegetal narrative where the mechanical technique of the Jacquard loom emulates the richness of mille‑fleurs, carpeting the background with a profusion of foliage, wildflowers, and shrubs that negate perspective in favor of a decorative and sumptuous two‑dimensionality. At the center of the scene, the hunt comes to life: riders in period coats, and hounds mid‑leap with game hidden among the undergrowth, composing a choreography of suspended movement that directly recalls the royal manufactories of the Louis era or the Aubusson workshops. - Maximum interior measurement / Overall dimensions: 187 x 112 cm - From a private painting collection in Madrid. - In overall good condition.
