Tapestry - 75 cm - 78 cm - Antique Banner - Madonna and Child

Wall devotional tapestry/banner for wall dating from the period between the late 19th century and the early 20th century, a superb example of sacred art and popular decorative art from the eclectic/Liberty era. At the center of the work is a delicate circular depiction of the Virgin Mary lovingly watching over the Infant Jesus, printed using the oleography/chromolithography technique of the time, which lends depth and warm colors to the sacred scene.
