Set of 3 original ship lanterns from professional seafaring, manufactured by Tavernier Oostende, a renowned Belgian producer of maritime lighting and marine equipment. The lamps bear the original Tavernier Oostende foundry markings, BV mark, and serial numbers 327, 329 and 330. The sturdy metal housings date from circa 1940-1950. During their active service, the original navigation lenses were professionally replaced at a later date with approved Fresnel lenses with DHI marking from 1976. This reflects the long operational lifespan and the maintenance that was customary in professional shipping. These authentic navigation lamps feature a beautiful maritime patina and together form a particularly decorative whole for a nautical interior, hospitality, man cave, loft, or collection.
