Taxidermy: A Pair of Indian Gaur Buffalo (Bos gaurus gaurus), dated 28th December 1942, by Van Ingen & Van Ingen, Mysore, India, numbered 29702, (Bos gaurus gaurus), Taxidermy: A Pair of Indian Gaur Buffalo (Bos gaurus gaurus), dated 28th December 1942, by Van Ingen & Van Ingen, Mysore, India, numbered 29702, a high-quality pair of large adult bull shoulder-mounts, one facing to the left, the other facing to the right, each measuring - 91cm and 90cm from the wall, widest span - 89cm and 86cm, heights - 153cm and 143cm, each mounted upon a typical oversized Indian hardwood shield, both with handwritten order book numbers to the verso and impressed Van Ingen trade stamp. Taken by Major R.A. Lindsell, R.E, Q.V.O, (Queen Victorias Own) Sappers & Miners, Bangalore.
